Funding from Umbrella Sexual Health Services for Birmingham Schools

Great news! We have further funding from Umbrella Sexual Health Services to deliver our theatre in education programmes on safeguarding and relationships in schools and centres in Birmingham this academic year, starting in November.

Schools are entitled to a choice or combination of the following 3 subsidised programmes:

Trust Me on sexual health

Safe & Sound on abuse in teenage relationships

Working For Marcus on child exploitation including CSE, county lines and knife crime

Each programme is suitable for Year 8 upwards. If you book multiple programmes, each one must be for a different year group. All programmes are also accompanied by a set of online lesson plans which teaching staff can use for prep and follow up work with their students.

Umbrella are currently unable to permit any live, in-school / face to face sessions due to Covid restrictions BUT the show must go on! Sooo..., if you'd still like to book our subsidised programmes this year then we can book your date in for one of our blended learning options, with a view to switching to face to face sessions should the situation change nearer the time or even on the day itself.

The blended learning options include pre-recorded performances plus live, streamed workshops delivered by our Actor/Facilitators via Microsoft Teams and easy peasy to implement.

We are very keen to talk to you about how we can deliver your programme on the date you want, no matter what your circumstances might be, so don't let this virus put a halt to your PSHE plans - please pick up the phone and give us a call on 0121 446 4880 or email info@loudmouth.co.uk and together we can make it happen!

What people say

Take a look at how we’ve helped others

Brilliant acting and interaction with the children. The play itself covered puberty in an open, realistic and humorous way which forms a terrific basis for future discussion with the teacher and each other. So much depends on the enthusiasm of the actors and I feel that we were very lucky to have such a talented pair, not only to perform, but to lead the discussions afterwards. They were able to relate to the children without any embarrassment. SUPERB!!

Governor/Teacher

Compared to other companies we have had covering the same content, the actors were more flexible and accommodating to the children’s individual needs. Through their answers and questions, the children were demonstrating a higher level of understanding, empathy and personal safety.
