Are You Ready for This Year's Anti-Bullying Week?

Anti-Bullying Week this year runs from Monday 11th November - Friday 15th November 2019. This is held each year in November in schools across England each November.

Each year has a different theme and this year’s was decided through consultation with 1,000 children and young people and is….

Change Starts with Us

Anti Bullying Week is organised each year by the Anti-Bullying Alliance and their website gives the following information about this year’s focus.

Whether it is verbal, physical, online or in-person, bullying has a significant impact on a child’s life well in to adulthood. By making small, simple changes, we can break this cycle and create a safe environment for everyone. Because together, we can challenge bullying. Change starts with a conversation. It starts with checking in. It starts with work together.

Change starts here.
Change starts now.
Change starts with us.

Loudmouth supports schools across the UK during Anti-Bullying Week with our Bully 4 U programmes.

Our primary programme covers many issues including the role we can all play in talking about and reporting bullying (e.g. ‘don’t be a bystander, be a friend’) as well as cyber bullying and impacts on mental wellbeing. The programme uses a series of fun drama scenes (linked by super heroes who train the pupils to be able to spot and stop bullying), interactive workshops, discussions and signposting.

Our secondary programme looks at many different forms of bullying including sexual / sexist bullying, bullying within relationships, homophobic bullying and online bullying including sexting. This also includes workshops and signposting and is available in different formats to suit the school or venue.

All of our programmes come with access to over 200 lesson plans on bullying and many other issues.

We will also be sending updates, ideas and free resources to schools who sign up to our mailing list.

What people say

Take a look at how we’ve helped others

Brilliant acting and interaction with the children. The play itself covered puberty in an open, realistic and humorous way which forms a terrific basis for future discussion with the teacher and each other. So much depends on the enthusiasm of the actors and I feel that we were very lucky to have such a talented pair, not only to perform, but to lead the discussions afterwards. They were able to relate to the children without any embarrassment. SUPERB!!

Governor/Teacher

Compared to other companies we have had covering the same content, the actors were more flexible and accommodating to the children’s individual needs. Through their answers and questions, the children were demonstrating a higher level of understanding, empathy and personal safety.
