Loudmouth - How does this all work?

Ever wondered how the booking process goes when you use Loudmouth? Read our quick guide here.

Are you interested in finding about Loudmouth, but not ready to book? Or maybe, you like the idea but just can't picture how it all works?

What happens when you make an enquiry?

If you call us (0121 446 4880 if you need it), then you will speak to Laura or Jenny who make up our knowledgeable sales team. If you prefer to chat over email or even have a quick Teams meeting instead, we can do that too – working in the education sector we understand that everyone takes in information differently and so cater to all preferences of communication!

Jenny or Laura will take you through the options. We have 9 different theatre in education programmes that cover a range of RHE / RSHE topics. If needed, we can send further information with testimonials, evaluation statistics and more details on content.

The programmes can be booked in different delivery formats depending on time, pupil numbers and budget. We will talk you through all your options and help find the right programme and format for you.

When discussing formats with you, we also provide information on the different price points and create a ‘no obligation’ quote for you AND we send you a selection of dates to choose from OR we can check availability of a specific date if you already have a date in mind.

If your budget holder agrees and we have identified a mutually agreeable date, we can then take a confirmed booking from you. (Please note, you can at any time temporarily reserve a date until you’ve heard back from your budget holder).

You make your booking, now what?

Once the booking is confirmed, Clare, our friendly Company Administrator will send through a contract for you to sign and return and information about what we will need on the day.

We will also send you a link to an online booking form where you can enter all of the details about the session such as start times, rooms, parking information and any additional needs we need to be aware of.

You will also be sent details of how to access our store of lesson plans, so you have options on how you prepare and follow up the Loudmouth visit and some suggested activities.

We will send details in advance of the names of the two Loudmouth Actor / Facilitators who will visit you on the day of the sessions with their DBS information and contact details. All of our staff are enhanced DBS checked and have Level 3 Safeguarding training.

We also send you a last check email nearer to the time of the session - this is to double-check that all the details are still correct.

What happens on the day?

On the day of your session(s), the two Actor / Facilitators will arrive in a Loudmouth van and unload. They will arrive about an hour before the start of the first session to set up. We do not bring a lot of set or equipment with us and so we do not need a long time to set up. All we need from you are a few classroom tables and school chairs and access to a standard plug socket for the stereo system we use in the performance.

The way the day will play out depends on the format chosen. We could be working with one class in a standard classroom or hall for an hour and a half or we could be working with a whole year group at once followed by a series of workshops with each class. We can also just do the presentation to the whole year as an assembly style session or even offer virtual sessions. You can be assured though that whichever format or programme you choose, you will get high quality theatre in education with clear learning objectives and strong engagement with your students.

What about safeguarding?

Safeguarding is really important to us (as I'm sure it is for you) and so it is a requirement that the venue’s main contact or a representative is present in the room at all times during the session.

All our delivery staff are level 3 safeguarding trained so, in the event of a disclosure, they will professionally handle the disclosure and complete one of Loudmouth’s disclosure recording forms. The team will ensure this is passed to your DSL who can then implement your policies and procedures. If any further assistance is needed Matt Farmer, our Actor Facilitator Manager and DSL, will be more than happy to support.

What happens at the end of the session / day?

We always ask any of your staff members that were present in the session to complete a quick evaluation form as we love to hear their feedback. We also sometimes ask students to complete evaluation forms as well (you are welcome to take copies of these).

We pack down quickly but are always happy to chat to your staff after the session to answer any questions they may have (and hopefully register their interest in any future visits from Loudmouth!)

Think this gives you enough to want to try a session with us? Or maybe this has opened up some more questions? Give us a call on 0121 446 4880 or email enquiry@loudmouth.co.uk
