COVID-19

Loudmouth has been safely working throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. We used the time to create pre-recorded versions of our performances for teachers to play to their pupils in the classroom. We have also adapted our offices into studios, where we now run our virtual workshops that follow up the filmed dramas. So we have been very busy!

As the new school year starts, we will continue to follow government advice (Department for Education and Public Health England), local council guidance and school's own COVID-19 policies and procedures to ensure that we are running our programmes as safely as possible. The safety of our staff and the staff and pupils in the schools and colleges we visit, is our priority.

We have adapted our programmes and work practices to ensure the safety of all involved. Here are some of our COVID safety measures:

  • Each session is risk assessed and will accommodate each venue's COVID-19 safety measures.
  • Flexible formats are available to schools and colleges including online options.
  • Workshops are socially distanced and we can work with class bubbles.
  • Wearing of masks where required when social distancing isn’t possible and moving through venues.
  • Washing/hand sanitising regularly.
  • Ensuring rooms are ventilated.
  • Twice weekly COVID testing of staff.
  • Travelling separately to venues where possible.
  • Ensuring masks are worn if there is more than one person travelling in a company vehicle.
  • Ensuring that vehicles are ventilated throughout each journey.
