Commission a Tour

Coronavirus tours update 2020

From November 2020 we are back in schools running all of our programmes virtually. We are thrilled that all our commissioned tours are going ahead and we have also been taking on new tours for this academic year 2020-2021. We have used the lockdown time to adapt our programmes so we can carry on our work in schools and colleges, even if we are not physically able to go in. We now have a range of virtual formats for schools to choose from. Our plays have been rewritten to work as pre-recorded films and our actor-facilitators have been trained to run the live streamed workshops via the internet using Microsoft Teams.

Benefits of booking a Loudmouth tour

Whether your remit is to improve sexual health outcomes or build on safeguarding strategies e.g. Crucial Crew, we can work with you to reach as many children and young people as possible with impactful awareness raising theatre in education programmes.

"On a ‘pounds per pupil’ basis, Loudmouth represents excellent value for money. Over the last 4 years, Loudmouth has worked with Umbrella to reach tens of thousands of young people. The Loudmouth-Umbrella partnership is a real success story."

Who we are

Loudmouth Education & Training has managed and delivered over 200 theatre in education tours for funding organisations across the UK since its start in 1994. Over the years we have established a reputation as one of the UK’s premier theatre in education companies, reaching over 750,000 children and young people. We specialise in safeguarding and relationships work, putting the educational emphasis at the heart of our programmes.

"I commission Loudmouth year after year as they work in a unique way to get health information across to children and young people. The participants they work with enjoy and actually remember the health messages."

What we do

We have virtual theatre in education progammes for primary, secondary and college aged children and young people on issues around...

  • mental wellbeing and the Coronavirus
  • youth violence/knife crime/county lines
  • extremism/PREVENT agend
  • anti-bullying
  • sexual health
  • teenage partner abuse/domestic abuse
  • child abuse and exploitation
  • puberty and transitions to secondary school
  • alcohol and drug use.

We are regularly commissioned to create new programmes.

"I was astounded at how focused and attentive the children remained throughout. The actor-facilitators were both very professional and engaged the children in such a meaningful and positive way. An intense subject which was pitched perfectly!"

Loudmouth's work is of the highest educational quality, our performances are all followed by interactive workshops and supported by lesson plans. Our work is proven to have increased children and young people’s awareness and knowledge of the issues covered, had a positive impact on behaviour change and increased referrals.

In the academic year 2019/20 we ran 20 tours, our highest ever number of commissions. The largest was in its fifth year with a funded amount of £100,000 per year reaching over 15,000 young people in targeted mainstream and special schools, alternative education providers and colleges. Our present tour funding amounts for the academic year 2020/21 range from £3,000 - £90,000 and cover a number of areas across the UK.
