MPs Vote Overwhelming in Support of RSE Guidance

Yesterday (March 27th 2019) the vote took place in the House of Commons on Relationships and Sex Education guidance for schools.

This was an important day as the result was overwhelming support for the guidance resulting in 538 'AYES' and 21 'NOES' (UK). You can read the Sex Education Forum’s response to the vote here.

This now needs to be passed in The a House of Lords and this should happen in the next few weeks with an announcement hopefully in the next day or so.

So we are getting closer to statutory Relationships and Sex Education and schools can start planning for September 2020 and training staff.

Remember Loudmouth can help you with training, support, free resources and of course our great programmes to support your RSE. Call us on 0121 446 4880.

Fingers crossed for the Lords vote!

What people say

Take a look at how we’ve helped others

Brilliant acting and interaction with the children. The play itself covered puberty in an open, realistic and humorous way which forms a terrific basis for future discussion with the teacher and each other. So much depends on the enthusiasm of the actors and I feel that we were very lucky to have such a talented pair, not only to perform, but to lead the discussions afterwards. They were able to relate to the children without any embarrassment. SUPERB!!

Compared to other companies we have had covering the same content, the actors were more flexible and accommodating to the children’s individual needs. Through their answers and questions, the children were demonstrating a higher level of understanding, empathy and personal safety.
