We Are Recruiting!

We have an exciting opportunity for an Actor/Facilitator (playing female characters) to join us at Loudmouth. The role will involve delivering our successful theatre in education programmes to schools and other venues. For this role the successful applicant will need to be able to believably play young characters.

• Full-time position, working five days per week, Monday to Friday.

• The salary is £25,500 per annum

• This position starts on Monday 21st July.

• A full UK driving licence is preferable for this position.

• The successful candidate will need to live near to our base in Birmingham.

• Mainly tour schools and colleges in the Midlands, although the role does include touring, with some overnight stays in other parts of the UK.

We recommend that applicants apply quickly due to the quick turnaround of the position. We will be inviting any suitable candidates to come in for a live audition based on their application and self-tape within the next couple of weeks. We will fill the position as soon as we find the right candidate.

Script for candidates: Zoe, 15. She is a survivor of Child Sexual Exploitation, looking back on her experiences.

ZOE: Hi. I'm Zoe. I’m 15. But I was about 13 when I met this man… let’s call him… Mr Charming. We met online, and at first he said he was my age, and we just clicked straight away. I couldn’t believe that it was possible to meet someone like him. We were so in tune. Mr Charming liked all the same things I liked. I felt like he knew me so well… almost too well.

He took me out to cool, grown up, adult places that I’d never been to. But he told me not to tell anyone. He said he was my boyfriend. He said that he loved me and would protect me….but he didn’t mean it. He asked me to pose for naked photos. He asked me to do things with him that I didn’t want to do. He told me to never tell anyone what was going on.
