Misogyny in Schools : Rise in Support Calls After School Based Incidents
Find out how we have been helping schools with a quick response to misogynistic incidents in school
Nov 12, 2025

We have seen an increase in calls from schools who have had an incident in school around misogyny and are looking for support that can come into school quickly to help them manage the impact.
In 2025, the University of York published a report on teachers’ experience of misogyny in school. 76% of secondary school teachers and 60% of primary school teachers reported that they were extremely concerned about the influence of online misogyny in school. 44% of secondary school teachers and 40% of primary school teachers had observed female pupils being subjected to misogynistic comments and discriminatory or inappropriate behaviour.
Loudmouth have been supporting hundreds of schools with their work on respect and relationships with programmes that explore equality, sexism and misogyny. We deliver over 1,000 sessions a year and have four teams who work across the UK to deliver impactful educational programmes. We can usually find a date at short notice when we can come into your school and so can respond quickly to your needs.
Our theatre in education programmes can provide an important initial input to make it clear how seriously the school takes the issues. The follow-on resources provide lesson plans and ideas for schools to help them embed the messages from the drama and workshops and help shift school culture.
