Safe and Sound

A programme for age 12+ at KS3 & 4 level. Issues covered include teenage partner/domestic abuse, consent, power & control in relationships.

In response to huge demand from schools and other educators, Loudmouth offer a theatre in education programme, Safe and Sound,  to address the issue of safety and respect in teenage relationships. Safe and Sound helps young people aged 12 upwards to think about the quality of the relationships they develop, raises their awareness of the misuse of power and control and safeguard themselves against abusive relationships.

“I genuinely believe that this programme will change some of the our students’ lives for the better. They will now be able to recognise signs that can lead to abusive relationships.” - Head of PSHCE

This is a great way for your organisation to take a positive lead by using Safe and Sound as part of your comprehensive safeguarding work. This will help you meet the government’s focus on preventative work in schools to teach young people about sexual consent and respect in relationships and help protect and support any learners who are trapped in abusive or controlling relationships.
