Safeguarding Showcase for Staffordshire & Stoke Professionals 14/2/18

The Regional Organised Crime Unit for the West Midlands invite you to a showcase event of Child Sexual Exploitation Programmes. Loudmouth Education & Training will be presenting their theatre in education programmes that support schools’ safeguarding work on Child Sexual Exploitation.

It will be held on Wednesday 14th February 2018, 10am 12.30pm at Stoke City Football Stadium, Stanley Matthews Way, Stoke-On-Trent, ST4 4EG

This event is for CSE/Safeguarding professionals within educational venues, the police and councils’ LSCBs,CSPs and PH departments who have an interest in booking, funding or promoting Loudmouth’s CSEawareness raising work.

Loudmouth will be presenting their two key CSE prevention programmes; Working for Marcus for 13 year olds upwards and Helping Hands for 8 11 year olds. Over 17,000 young people took part in the Working for Marcus programme in 2017 and over 50,000 since it was first developed in 1998. Helping Hands is a new programme that has been funded by the Home Office. Loudmouth have also been given permission by the NSPCC to include their widely PANTS rule in the programme. PANTS is an NSPCC campaign designed to help parents keep their children safe from sexual abuse, for more information visit the NSPCC webpage.

This is a fantastic opportunity to view Loudmouth’s innovative and well researched safeguarding programmes. Both programmes provide a safe and engaging forum for children and young people to learn how to spot the signs and seek support around unhealthy relationships and different forms of abuse.”

What people say

Take a look at how we’ve helped others

Brilliant acting and interaction with the children. The play itself covered puberty in an open, realistic and humorous way which forms a terrific basis for future discussion with the teacher and each other. So much depends on the enthusiasm of the actors and I feel that we were very lucky to have such a talented pair, not only to perform, but to lead the discussions afterwards. They were able to relate to the children without any embarrassment. SUPERB!!

Governor/Teacher

Compared to other companies we have had covering the same content, the actors were more flexible and accommodating to the children’s individual needs. Through their answers and questions, the children were demonstrating a higher level of understanding, empathy and personal safety.
