Did you see ‘Helping Hands’ about bullying, following the story of Jay and his parents? Or maybe you saw ‘My Mate Fancies You’ and watched Claire and Daniel deal with growing up? Either way there are lots of different sites below which can give you support and further information. Hope these help!

Now you probably saw ‘Trust Me’ and the story of April and Dave? No? Well, maybe ‘Ben, Nat and Baby Jack’ which was about a young family called Be…you get the idea. Or maybe ‘Bully_4_U’ on cyber bullying? What Next? – on exam stress and finding work? Well, whatever programme you saw there are links below to get further information and support.

Great tips and ideas to deal with bullying and advice on cyberbullying.

ChildLine

ChildLine 0800 1111: get help and advice about a wide range of issues, talk to a counsellor online.

Don't Bully Me!

Don't Bully Me! is a booklet for primary age children. If you or your child is being bullied, or you know someone else who is, this booklet will help you.

Handy information for children about domestic abuse

Colourful videos and stories for the under 10s to explain domestic abuse in an easy to understand format.

My Life 4 Me

Mylife4me is a site is for anyone who has been affected by drugs and/or alcohol with answers to many key questions and links to many alcohol and drugs services.

NHS site for young people - Advice and Information

NHS site on puberty including young people talking about their expeirences of growing up.

The Haven, Wolverhampton

The Haven Wolverhampton is a charitable organisation which provides both practical and emotional support services to women and children who are affected by domestic violence and homelessness.

Al-Anon

For relatives, family and friends affected by drinking

Alateen

For teenage relatives and friends of alcoholics

Aquarius

Aquarius help people who are affected by their own or someone else’s problems with alcohol, drugs or gambling.

Birmingham Drug and Alcohol Action Team (BDAAT)

A Birmingham based service with a free helpline that exists to reduce the harm caused by drugs and alcohol to improve well-being.

BRASH - Birmingham Relationship and Sexual Health service.

For those of you working in our home city of Birmingham, this is information on the free clinic for Under 25s.

Brook

Brook is the only national voluntary sector provider of free and confidential sexual health advice and services specifically for young people under 25.

CHAT (Shropshire)

CHAT stands for Confidential Help and Advice for Teens and is a free, confidential service for young people, aged 11 to 19 years in Shropshire.

Drinkaware

Drinkaware has loads of information and a drinks tracker to help people keep a log of the amount of alcohol and units they have had.

Dudley Stop Smoking Service

Free, confidential help and support (including stop smoking treatments such as nicotine patches and gum) to people who want to quit smoking.
