You are here: Home » training » How to work effectively with young people on sexual diversity issues and homophobic bullying
Homophobic bullying is endemic in British schools. All schools should have an anti bullying policy that specifically address homophobic bullying. Yet, only 6% of schools actually do. The lack of support or policies can have a huge impact on the school lives of many lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) young people.

This thought provoking training allows professioanls to reflect on their own attitudes and practice. The session explores and challenges common stereotypes and assumptions and shares good practice for how schools and other organisations can best meet the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender learners. Participants will also explore and learn ways of combating homophobic bullying and addressing sexual diversity issues in PSHE.
