ISSUES COVERED - RESPECT IN RELATIONSHIPS, SAFEGUARDING, DOMESTIC / TEENAGE PARTNER ABUSE

quick-reference-bottom
A 2009 report by the NSPCC showed that 25% of girls and 18% of boys reported some form of physical partner violence. 75% of girls and 50% of boys reported some form of emotional partner violence.

In response to huge demand from schools and other educators Loudmouth are developing a new programme to address these issues. In January 2011 we launched ‘Safe and Sound’ our latest and much needed theatre in education programme on safety and respect in teenage relationships. Safe and Sound helps young people aged 12 upwards to think about the quality of the relationships they develop, raises their awareness of the misuse of power and control and safeguard themselves against abusive relationships.

This is a great way for your organisation to take a positive lead by using ‘Safe and Sound’ as part of your comprehensive safeguarding work. This will help you meet the government’s focus on preventative work in schools to teach young people about sexual consent and respect in relationships and help protect and support any learners who are trapped in abusive or controlling relationships.

You can download further information on this new programme by clicking on the links on the left. These give further information of the programme and a breakdown of the learning outcomes, evaluation information and a visual guide to what happens in the sessions.

We would also like to give you the opportunity to come and observe a session in a school so you can see how this programme can support your safeguarding work and support your young people. Ring us today on 0121 446 4880 to book your free viewing.

Excellent, on their level. Much better way of putting information across than a lesson.
