SEVERAL TIMES ON PURPOSE - The exercise helps learners to define bullying as negative controlling behaviour that is deliberate and repeated. For year 4, year 5, year 6, key stage 2. Works well to support our Helping Hands programme as an early intervention approach to educating about domestic abuse. Other lesson plans for this programme include work on positive behaviour, empathy and teamwork.
GROWING UP FEELINGS – An exercise to explore the different feelings and emotions children and young people may face whilst growing up. Year 6, year 7, key stage 2, key stage 3. Works well to support our My Mate Fancies You programme. Other lesson plans include work on physical body changes, family changes and who to go to for support.
TEENAGE PARTNER ABUSE – WHO CAN I TALK TO? – An exercise to look at the specialist agencies that can offer support and help around teenage partner abuse. Year 8, year 9, year 10, year 11, year 12, key stage 3, key stage 4, secondary, college. Works well with Safe and Sound our programme on respect and safety in relationships. Other lesson plans include work on consent and the law, male victims of teenage partner abuse and how to spot early signs of an unhealthy relationship.
CONCEPTION AND CONTRACEPTION - This exercise helps develop learners’ knowledge of how pregnancy occurs and how it can be prevented. For year 9, year 10, college, key stage 3, key stage 4. Works well with our sexual health programme Trust Me. Other lesson plans include work on law and the age of consent, negotiating contraception and accessing services.
THE GROOMING LINE - An exercise to look at Barnardo's 'The Grooming Line' and how people can get drawn into Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE). This exercise works well alongside our Working for Marcus programme for students in year 9, year 10, year 11, college, key stage 3, and key stage 4.
