Head Teachers
“Absolutely brilliant, children were enthralled (as were adults!). Done in a way that approaches a difficult subject that the children could relate to. Thanks.”
“The response from both staff and pupils has been wholly positive. I consider this to have been a most valuable experience for the pupils.”
“The performers built a very positive relationship with the children through the drama – this mirrored the fears and worries facing them. As a result the quality of the discussion and the trust during the workshop was excellent. I would see this as an important addition to our PSHE programme particularly for those children in transition between the primary school and secondary school.”
Deputy Head Teachers
“Children clearly highly engaged throughout the performance. Children well managed during performance and discussion afterwards. Children, both boys and girls, were able to discuss puberty without embarrassment, due to the way the group discussions were managed.”
“Every time I have seen the performance it has been excellent! The children relax and interact more as the performance goes on. The performance compliments our PSHE work as it gives a great introduction to puberty. It gives staff confidence as it tackles embarrassing issues. It gives the children confidence to ask questions as using Claire/Daniel depersonalises the situation.”
“An excellent thought provoking and fun approach to ‘growing up’! The performance really hits the mark – our children were able to discuss issues in a safe and open environment. Fantastic, thank you!”
Teachers
“Students who saw Trust Me were so engaged in the performance this morning that it has led to a very relaxed discussion (which we have never been able to do before) on sexual health matters such as transmitted diseases, pregnancy and emergency contraception. It was fab and the students were so engaged. They are very animated about it.”

“I thought how good and informative My Mate Fancies You was in a humorous way. It was well presented and I liked how the actors interacted with the children. It covered so many areas that are relevant to the Year 6ers, different views on moving on to secondary school, insecurities, secrets, jealousy, embarrassment, changes occurring during puberty, not being able to talk about feelings, growing up at different rates and having different opinions on life. It was excellent. The audience really like and feel for the characters and have an insight into their lives. After the session I had a chat to one mum who was really pleased that she had watched the performance as she had an opportunity to see what the children had experienced.”

“Loudmouth did ”My Mate Fancies You” for us and now going through puberty doesn’t seem so bad any more. Me and my friends had a great time and hope we will have more theatre performances from them at some point. Thank you very much to Loudmouth for doing that performance! Coppice Junior School’s year 6 had a lot of fun as I heard as we left the hall! It was really interesting but funny at the same time!”
“I think that your play was really good. It was very interesting and made me think a lot about my relationship with my boyfriend. He is 18 and I am 15, exactly the same as the play. I did recently get into a bit of trouble because of protection and it has made me more careful and looking at the play and how a simple mistake can change your life really made me think and I am very grateful because you explained how I could get help and who to get it from
Thank you very much

“Today I saw Loudmouth who came to our school, Cheslyn Hay High School to do a play about Chlamydia. At first when I heard we were going to have a play done about Chlamydia I was really apprehensive and I didn’t want to go. I even thought about going home. However, I found that April and Dave were brilliantly acted, really REALLY brilliantly acted and really funny. The whole thing was really good fun and very educational and helpful. April and Dave didn’t make you feel at all patronised, which is easy to happen when young people are talked to about sex. It was fun, comfortable and chilled out which was lovely. I really actually enjoyed the performance and I’d also like to thank April and Dave for coming to our school.
